Phase One of The Ocean Story, completed in May 2023, marked the launch of the project’s first edition: a powerful photographic journey through the lives of iconic marine species. Over 200 copies have been shared with high-level policymakers during the 2024 UN Ocean Decade Conference in Barcelona, helping to elevate ocean conservation on the global agenda.
Looking ahead, the next phase will spotlight five additional species and explore three vital marine ecosystems: coral reefs, seagrass beds, and mangroves. These new chapters will be woven into an expanded and final edition of The Ocean Story, featuring ten iconic marine species. The updated volume is set for completion by the end of 2026, with its global debut planned at the United Nations Ocean Conference 4 in South Korea.
